Educational Visit Details

Appropriate Age Groups:   Schools 5 - 11. Study focus groups any age
     
Key Stages and curriculum areas covered:   Social History of Lower Otter Valley, History of costume and Lace. Local environment and archaeology. Coastal Geology.
     
Resources available for schools: 50 metres from Pebble Beach. Cliffs and Otter Valley Nature Reserve within easy walking distance.
     
   
     
Visit Cost per Pupil: 50p per child, £1.00 per accompanying adult

Other Educational Services: Group visits for all ages can be accommodated by prior arrangement e.g. special study of costumes, geology, textiles, lace.
Advised Length of Visit: at least 1 hour
Max Numbers in a Group: usual max. 40

 !  2006 education initiatives
The museum is developing links with local primary schools - St. Peter's in the town, Drake in East Budleigh and inOtterton. New projects for this year include "Growing up in Devon". Please contact us for details.


One of our schools recently borrowed the toy box.  We have received a " thank you" letter and a page of drawings of the toys.
